Unter diesem Motto fand vom 23. bis 30. August 2008 im Haus Venusberg in Bonn ein Seminar mit jeweils acht bis zehn benachteiligten Jugendlichen aus vier europäischen Ländern statt. Durchgeführt von IKAB e.V., einer auf interkulturelle politische Bildung spezialisierten Einrichtung, und gefördert mit Mitteln des EU-Programms „Jugend in Aktion“, wurde in intensiven Gesprächen und Arbeitsgruppen das Diskriminierungsthema „Mobbing und Aus
grenzung“ behandelt. Ziel der Arbeitswoche war, die teilnehmenden Jugendlichen für das Thema zu sensibilisieren und sie zu ermutigen, nach ihrer Rückkehr in ihrem eigenen Umfeld als „Anti-Diskriminierungs-Scouts“ tätig zu werden.Don’t exclude me just because I’m different
This was the title of a seminar held between 23 and 30 August 2008 at Haus Venusberg in Bonn. Participants came from four European countries, each group consisting of eight to ten young people from a disadvantaged background. The seminar was organised and conducted by IKAB e.V., an institution specialising in facilitating intercultural political education, and funded by the European “Youth in Action” programme. Intensive discussions and workshops focused on the discrimination-related topics of bullying and exclusion. The week’s aim was to raise awareness among the participating youths and encourage them to become “anti-discrimination scouts” in their home countries after their return.
